If you are driving with the full beam headlights on you are able to detect a pedestrian wearing a reflector at about 450 metres.

Visibility is reduced if:

  • You are dazzled by an oncoming vehicle.
  • It is raining or snowing heavily.
  • It is foggy.
  • Your car's headlight covers are dirty, scratched or in poor condition.
  • Your car's windshield is dirty, scratched or in poor condition.
