What can you discover using your hearing while driving?
While driving, hearing can make you attentive:
- When another driver honks, accelerates or brakes.
- When an emergency vehicle with its sirens on is nearby.
- When something is wrong with the car, such as a poorly tensioned alternator belt.
- When you happen to drift onto a shoulder rumble strip at the side of the road.
- When the road surface condition changes.
- When you shift to the wrong gear.
